Got out there around 5:30 last night and the water was up a good 4 ft... Windy as hell, but some pads starting to come up thick around the edges, so at least there was some cover to fish. Only managed 4. The hits were either crushers, or almost non exsistant. 3 pic, one bass. This pic was the biggest of the night. Can't wait to maybe get a day out there this season without gale force winds, lol!

What did you catch the pic on? Those things are ugly and slimy but fun to catch.

Yeah the wind has been brutal. Hopefully by mid-end of May it dies down.

Nice pickerel! I love fishing for them too! They shoot out of cover like a missle and explode on topwaters like a bluefish! Love their hard fight too!

Thanks for the report. I've been thinking of heading up there, soon. Bantam River is one of my favorite paddles.

Thanks! Came in on a perch colored Terminator spinner. Unfortunately, it wouldn't open its mouth for anything, so it got my skirt and trailer as a souvineir, lol. Glad I always keep replacements in the box! Wink
