Hey Guys,

I have a XPS 5/5/5 Battery Charger I think died. Just the blue power LED lights up. How ever when I tested the output voltage (12.36 volts) it seems to be within there suggestions.

I'm going to contact the Mfg on Tuesday for suggestions.

I went on the BPS website to read the reviews on the XPS charger. Nothing but bad reviews. If this unit is toast, what Battery Chargers do you guys use and how are they working for you.

I looking to spend about $150 - $200.

I'm looking at the Minn Kota MK-315.

Thanks for you reviews

What kind of charger is it? i.e trickle charger etc.

Go to NAPA, you can get a good charger for a low price!

I have a Dual Pro 3 bank charger that works great. It has been in the boat for three years with no issues. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I replaced the Minn Kota I sold you with a Guest 3 bank....both worked well for me....Minns tend to be bigger and heavier, but I don't think it matters much....Guest is in CT (meriden maybe?) so maybe you can get a factory second or blem....

I have a 3 bank pro that needs to be repaired. It's a 15/15/15. You can send it to them for a refurbish. I wound up buying a new one. They are pretty awesome chargers. I think it was $185 to refurbish plus shipping. They retail for close to $400. You can call them, they're pretty cool. They will give you a 1 year warranty.
You can have it

Brennan,

The Minn Kota works great, No problems. That's why I was thinking of going to a Minn if this one is spent.

Stratos17, Thanks for the offer. Let's see what happens with this one first.. I might take you up on that offer.

CTBASSIN,

Where did you purchase yours? what's the make, model etc?

BOSOX, (YANKEES RULE?)

Sorry, had to slip that in there. It's a on-board three bank battery charger purchased from BPS.

Thanks guys for your input.

well... at least it's not the mets. Went to the game saturday night, and I realized mets fans are worse than yankee fans.

Ron, I have a 10 year old Pro sport 12, 2 bank charger. I have never had an issue with it, just plug her in the night before a tourney, and all is well in the am. I keep waiting for it to die because of it's age, but she keeps going like the energizer bunny.

Ron,

They are made by Pro Mariner, Pro Mariner also makes the BPS models as well. They are in the Bass Pro catalog, or on their website at Basspro.com

That's what is in my boat (Minnkotas) and never had a problem with them with the exception of the batteries getting old. Wink
