Hi,
Hope you all will get to see the movie of my fellow alumni "Capt. Philips" played by Tom Hanks.
Great movie... !
Richard Philips was my underclassman at Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
I graduated in 1976 and Richard graduated in 1979.
We both made full Captain and both of us had our own separate dealings with pirates.
He off Somalia 2009 and I south of Borneo 1981.
Shane Murphy in the movie is also a MMA 2001 graduate and his father Joseph Murphy teaches at MMA.
