Does anybody know any good places in the state for Carp Fishing, I have just moved here from the UK and would like to find some Hotspots?

Hamburg Cove off the CT River in Lyme. Took my boat in there last season targeting bass and there was so many carp in there surfacing that you could probably have walked across the cove stepping on the carps and never touched water! Very Happy

Thanks I will look into heading over there. What month did you see them there? was it Spring, Summer?

Carper, I believe it was sometime in early May. Just keep a watch on this site as once the fishing reports for Hamburg Cove start popping up from the other fishermen you will know when to start fishing it. Also if you like having fun with other species such as stripe bass, you will catch plenty of them in the cove once their spring run starts. Very Happy

Candlewwod has big carp, also chester creek on the Ct river is loaded
