Weekend report:
Hit Cedar from 1 to 5 PM on Sat. Boated about 10 bass and a couple of pickeral. Everything was on a tube, or a jig. Nothing on a buzzbait or swimbait even though I threw them a lot! Big bass of the day was 4.5#,..Here's the pic:

On Sunday, I woke up early and got to Moodus at 6AM. The parking lot was just about full and I had to wait in line to launch, even though there was no tourney! Picked up one small bass on a tube pretty quick and I thought it was going to be a good day,....NOT!!
As the sun came out, I only picked up one more small bass and pickeral in the next 5 hours!! I did have one on a swimbait that felt like it had some weight,..but it took me into the lilypads and shook off before I could get a good look at it! Crying or Very sad Mad After pretty good days on Friday and Sat,..it was a lousy way to wrap up the weekend,..but hey,..that's fishing!! Wink

Nice job at Cedar buddy! Instead of Moodus which I agree with you is overpressured I think you should have gone to your other honey hole "Lake Quonnipaug" which you always seem to catch some lunkers there. Unlike me at least you got out.

Is there a hp limit on cedar? Is it a public launch or a private lake?

Public launch, small lake (I think 70 acres..) , no hp restriction but it is 6mph speed-limit at all times! Some days you'll swear that there's no bass in the lake,..other days it's pretty good fishing!
Also, just from talking with folks at the ramp,..it is an excellent lake for trout fishing!
