My Gerber utility pliers/knife/etc.. has some surface rust from not drying it off after a rainy day. I wanted to know of some methods of cleaning and perserving my metal tools and hooks that stay ONLY in my tackle box. Any suggestions?

Ive used coke and soaked overnight.

oh i just love coke... something you can drink and take rust off of metal objects!
