I went fishing the other day in the Connecticut River, went for about 1 1/2 Hrs, Not even a bite. For the record, we were using a simple nightcrawlers for bait. Then my dad had to take a ride to motor vehicles so my brother and I went fishing in the Wethersfield cove, right behind their building. I threw my line in and didn't get a bite for at least 20 min. Then I starting getting bites off the hook. I got about 5 bites that just bit once, took my bait, and then left. My little brother got one bite, and ended up landing a 13 inch bass. My guess is about 1 1/2 lbs, Nice Fish. Kind of embarrassing that i got 5 bites and he got one and ending up landing the fish. 5 min later my brother gets another bite and lands a little sunfish. That completed our day cuz i had soccer practice.

I got the skunk on Tuesday. Keep trying. But get a $20 digital fish scale from Walmart. I've found that largemouth bass usually don't hit 1 pound around here until they reach about 14 inches in length. I'd be very surprised to see a 1-1/2 pound bass under 15 inches in length.
