Yeah, I went back to Countryside Park, again, from 9:40 am to 12:10 pm, when it began to rain. It was overcast and the air temperature hung in the mid to low 40s, but there was very little wind. I had to search around a bit for the fish, but jigged up 16 small yellow perch (i.e., 10 inches or less) and five sunnies:

And, no, it never gets old to me. Very Happy

A lot of the ice is going, going, gone! Surprised

I might go fishing in the rain, today, before all of it disappears.

1. 40.5" PIke caught and released out of Bantam ice fishing with a shiner.
2. 30" Rainbow Trout caught and released out of Scoville on a mepps. (random lake)

I have a brand new six inch StrikeMaster Lazer hand auger. I was on the Simsbury Reservoir, today, and it took anywhere from 16 to 32 cranks to get through the ice. I think that translates to 10 to 20 inches of ice. The thinnest ice was near the north end of the reservoir, where the stream runs into it. The ice isn't very uniform anymore, so be very careful out there.
