Hit the river for some more striper action. Fished for a few hours in the bright sun with nothing,...then I helped a guy and his buddy cut off a fish-hook that had gone through his finger when he tried to take it out of a fish! Confused In return for the help, they showed me a hotspot outside of chester marina and we wacked them for the next few hours till the action died. Looked like they had about 10+,... while I ended up with 4! All mine came on swimbaits.
Best one was this one that went 29",..but the others were pretty similar! Very Happy

Nice job Mark, sometimes helping others pays off.

I'm long over due for my fish hook through the hand. I'm knocking on wood as I'm writing this, as I haven't done that trick yet. I've had a few close calls, but never a full penetration past the barb. But if you fish long enough, sooner or later it will happen to everybody, my question is when will it happen to me? hopefully never, but I doubt it!

nice fish Mark, looks like you had some nice water to float on as well. I am supposed to be going striper fishing Thursday with a friend from work, hopefully it won't fall through.

Nice fish I might be hitting the river this weekend as well...I havent had to many close calls untill last week when I got hung up in a tree with a senko and it swung around when I pulled it out and stuck me in the face. luckely the hook just went under my skin and the barb didint make it through....scary either way but no blood no scar....

Nice fish!!! I had a similar incident a few years back when I was hung up in a tree with a popper, ripped it out of the tree, and the damn thing got stuck into my eyebrow! Went right in past the barb. Not too fun coming out, but I survived.
