The water is generally stained on the CT river. It isn't as bad or milky as it gets sometimes after storms. It better around low tide. I do pretty well with light natural color senkos in the weeds, or spinner baits elsewhere.

I fished there recently. Spinner Baits and Green Pumpkin/Watermelon colored jigs with matching trailers worked well for me. As Dan said. It is best to fish prior to High Tide. That river shuts off like a light switch.
