Fish the CT River for a little bit Friday afternoon/evening. Wasn't hard core fishing, mostly checked out some different areas. Went into Pratt Brook and Selden's cove/creek. Only managed one small keeper LM, had a few other hits.

Hit Highland with a couple of BAWS guys from 6pm-12:30am Saturday night. We caught some fish, but nothing over 2.5 lbs. Fish came on spinnerbaits, worms and drop shot. The other guys said they each dropped a couple of nice ones.

Went up to Spofford, NH to see my dad and we got a few hours of fishing in last night. We caught about 10 bass total with 6-7 of them going between 2 and 3 lbs. Had a nice bite throwing 7 inch power worms.

Good weekend of varied fishing.

Mostly LM in NH. The smallie bite at my lake is tough after mid-june. You usually get a bunch of smaller ones. I got one decent one about 1.75 lbs though, so that was a nice surprise.

What water depth and structure were you concentrating on to catch the LMB in NH?

ME_Misherman,

I have a honey hole up there. It's a rocky reef off shore in about 10-12 feet of water that has a drop down to 24 a little further out. It's usually feast or famine, there just happened to be a pig pile there that night. Stinks because it's really my only strong summer spot on the entire lake.

I think I might know where you are talking about, but then again there are a lot of rocky reefs out there. The one I'm thinking of has only produced smb though so maybe I don't know. I found a nice hump last year close to the NE corner that had a few smb on it, but I was up there in late September and it was a bad low pressure system . . . I'm guessing this time of year it might have a lot. It is really small so you have to pay attention or you'll miss it. If I remember correctly there is a large natural colored boat garage near there and it is about 150' off shore. The other area I like is the opposite point from the lighthouse rock that forms that little cove. It extends off shore quite aways and near where it starts to really drop is where I usually find some smb.

I know the offshor hump you're talking about, no that wasn't it. I generally only get small smallies out there, every once in a while happening upon a big one. The lake is very tough after July 1. As I said, if they aren't on that spot, I struggle mightily and I've been fishing there my entire life.
