Well guys I think we've kinda decided on where we want to fish. Gary (Slimecoat) and I have decided to co-run the event.

Where are planning on fishing Gardner Lake on August 16th from 6 - 12.

This date is tentative but I think it's going to work.

I'd like to have an event that encourages people to fish a tournament that they otherwise wouldnt.

We would like to have a draw tournament. Now I know in the past this didnt get much interest but I think we can make it work. This layout would allow people to meet some new friends and also share some fishing knowledge. It would also allow people who dont have a boat, a chance to fish a tournament. Lets keep in mind, this tournament is not just about the money. It's about getting the chance to fish, have alittle friendly competition, meeting some faces and sharing some knowledge, with the chance of making alittle extra pocket change.

I personally would love to have someone I dont know come on my boat who wants to learn alittle something and fish with me for the day! It would be fun and I can guarantee we'd both learn something from eachother and the person who gets paired with me will most likely end up with a couple extra baits they dont already have.

I have a computer program that randomly pairs partners so everything is fair.

We're looking at a couple of options.......Let me know what you all think.

Option #1: A DRAW event where a boater and non-boater get randomly paired and fish TOGETHER as a team. 5 fish weighed in together (Team cashes together)

Option #2: A DRAW event where a boater and non-boater are randomly paired and fish AGAINST eachother. Each person weighs 5 fish separately. (similar to most club events) We can have two payouts. Single best five & Team Boat Total (lunker of course)

Personally, I like option #1.

This is simple. I want to keep it that way so everyone feels comfortable and has a good time. I will get some extra prizes to give away and possibly some trophies.

As always we will have a cookout after the tournament.

Remember folks, this is suppose to be a fun event. This board was put here so we could all share our fishing knowledge and nothing would encourage that more than to get out fishing with someone you dont know. Lets make this happen!

Let me know what Option you guys would like best. We are in essence taking a poll.

Unfortunetly considering its already july 1st, getting this all together, planned and enough people, it would be too soon. Slimecoat and I think this is going to be the best day.....sorry you cant make it If we decide to change the date we'll post it up
