How deep should we be setting our tip ups right now? I generally set up about 12-36 inches of bottom.

For fishing smaller lakes.. i like to set up in 5 to 15 ft deep near old weeds .. i normally go 12 to 15 in off the bottom for bass ... if your fishing cwood thats a whole different ballgame i set up in 20 to 35 ft and have some rught near bottom and some near the surface for trout ..... but ive yet to get a trout thru the ice so mabee someone who targets them can chime in
