Headed out of East Haven on Sunday morning around 5am with my friend and his girlfriend who bought him a private charter (Reel Crazy) for his birthday. The Captain did an EXCELLENT job, he was very knowledgable and definitely put us on some nice fish!

The rain started coming down from 5:40 to around 8 or so, but it turned out to be nice afterward and the sun dried us out. We were live lining bunker with a 7 ft leader and a 16 oz weight, drifting over the reefs.

At the end of the day we ended up with 3 striper and a couple blues, the best striper going 36 Lbs and 42 inches! The other two stiper went over 25lbs easy and were both over 33 inches. It was my friends first striper of his life and made for a great birthday present. I highly recommend this charter, we paid for 4 hours and easily fished for 6. Everyone else we saw fishing had not brought up anything, only one boat in the area pulled a small keeper on board.

A great day overall, pics to come soon, gotta rip em off Facebook...
