Ok, I'm going by memory, so the weights may not be exact.

Conditions : mostly sunny, with some clouds in the last 2 hours
Air temps: 45 in the am, warming to 65 in the afternoon
Water temps : 57 to 59 on the main lake and 62 to 66 in the back shallow coves
Water clarity : slightly stained
Winds : 5 to 10 mph, except the last hour they kicked up some
1st place : 9lbs. 10 ounces
2nd place : 7lbs. 15 ounces (Johnny skeeter)
3rd place : 7ibs. 11 ounces
Lunker : 3lb. 11 ounce largemouth
All 5 fish limits

A few smallmouth were weighed in, including a 2 lber by pointing dog. A big crappie was also caught, as well as too many pickeral to count. I myself caught 6 pickeral on 6 consecutive casts on a senko. A couple guys caught some small walleye, so all in all a pretty productive day.

Most fish were caught in 10 feet of water or less, with the majority being caught in 4 feet or less. Saw a lot of empty beds, a few smallmouth on beds, and the largemouth were up very shallow, but not on beds that we could tell although it was pretty windy at times.

Most bass were caught on soft plastics, senkos, shakey heads, drop shots, worms, tubes, jigs. Pickeral were caught on everything including rattletraps, spinnerbaits, and jerkbaits.

Nice, no shortage of bites in this tournament even if some of those were not what you wanted. Very Happy

Gardner lake's been pretty productive so far this year,..looks like the lack of fishing pressure while the ramp was under repair did it some good!

John, I like to keep the tourney reports positive, and I try not to make anybody look bad, but if you insist in self mutilation, feel free to have at it.
