Yeah, I saw that on the Bass Fishing Homepage last week. A definite eye-opener. As a relatively new boat owner, that was good to see. I like to think I'm safe and careful, but that video makes it easy to try to be even more vigilant.

I'm new to boating, only 5 years under my belt. I understand the importance of a fast bass boat to some degree. You can see before the crash he is having a tough time with the chine walking. In those conditions doing 70 is retarded. He IS lucky.... I would never attempt to jump a wake trimmed up with my boat. Your looking for trouble. It's not a wave runner! It's just a lack of respect for the water and his boat. WTF. I agree with the PFD and kill cord. It should have never come to that. Most people would call this guy a "Jack Ass"

I always wear a pfd and kill switch even when "fun fishing" Pulling a move like that while chine walking is not too smart especially with that boat. Some brands handle those situations better than others. Glad he is going to be ok though. This type of stuff usuallyhappens to people who are not exp or are boneheads. Also beware of idiotd, ask tralli about some of the stuff we encountered...scarry indeed!

yeah Johnny. Remember that asshole that almost killed us on the River. The freakin moron in the Skeeter almost ran us over with his boat. If he hadn't bailed right we would have had a Skeeter on top of a Stratos.
