Fished the river in tariffville on the 19th, caught 4 fish in an hour on a wobbler spoon and a huskyjerk. Kept a real big brookie and a smaller but much more fat brown. The river was high and raging so the fish were all pressed up against the bank.

Today i stopped for a half an hour on the farmington in unionville. Again, the river was high and fast but casting from the bank was producing some really good sized fish. These were both caught on a gold vibrax, and the big 14 inch rainbow jumped at least 5 times.

Beautiful fish! That area sounds like a lot of fun. Guess that's one of the perks of living up north.

Great job too with the water being so high.

Awesome fishing and a great report !!!!! Thumbs Up

If you have the time and are interested in fishing with a buddy, let's meet up on Saturday morning and attempt to fish that raging river.

I am familiar with fishing the Farmington more in the Burlington area and have never fished Unionville.

PM me if interested.

PS. Mustang, I am jealous that you live so close to the shore and all that striper action.
