Went down to the flatts again today 3:30-7:30 PM.
The water was really moving, brown and about 2-3 feet above normal.
Used the old faithful gold bead pheasant nymph size 10. Despite the conditions i killed them.Quite the variety today.I landed around 20 fish, all on the small size. From trout, both species of bass, bluegill, fallfish, rock bass and a first from the river...a crappie.Left them biting and the other fly guys a bit disgruntled.

Nice job i diddnt know that river held that kind of variety.I fished the canton area daily for a couple of years on my lunch and never caught anything but trout and a few smallies.

Lakes, ponds, streams and rivers. The fish find them hard to resist.
If it's low and clear i just down size but stay with the same "buggy"pattern. I did a double-take when i saw that crappie. It had to of washed down from the calm section up river.
