Justin, please put me down as a non boater. I will have to check with the boss first to see when the in-laws are coming up from Florida. As a side note; I will cover the $40 entry fee for who ever I get paired with. MarkO

Justin, put me down for a non boater for now, if we get my motor running right, I'll change to a boater if we need boaters. As a non boater I will cover the $40 entry fee, and pay the boater additional $$$$$ for gas, to cover truck and boat gas.

Justin, please take my name off the non-boater list. Not only are in-laws in town but there will be 10 to 15 five year olds running around our house that day for our sons birthday party. MarkO

I noticed a lot of complaints about lack of sign up's on the tournaments. I would sign up for this event but 6hrs? Why not a standard length? Also the random pairing might turn people off since most people have partners they fish with on a regular basis. Just an observation, don't blast me for it. Good luck with the tourney and I hope you fill the field.

Bass Rebel, I will try to answer your questions, I am not going to bash you, but I'll try to clarify things, no harm intended.

We asked for input and got like 4 posts, then once we post the tournament format, all these people come out of the wood work, and start making suggestions on how to attract more fisherman per tournament, and on how we should run the tournament.

These tournaments are 4 to 6 hour tourney's because they are fun based, and have a cookout afterward. They are not cash based, if that's what people want, to fish with a regular partner to make money, this is not the place for you. This tourney in particular is set up so that guys on this site and elsewhere, that don't have a boat, and would like to fish a tourney, and learn some new technique's from a seasoned bass fisherman, without having to break the bank, can do so fishing from the back of someone elses boat. I do these tournaments to give a little something back to the community, and maybe learn a new spot or technique myself, because let's face it, all of us are still learning, or we would be fishing at a professional level. Hopefully we can all make some new friends in the local fishing community, while gaining some knowledge.

The cookout afterward is a good time for guys to talk about different baits, how to use them, where guys caught fish that day, and many other life topics that come up in conversation. A good time is had by all, if this is for you.

Hope this helps.
