Wednesday I arrived at Twin Brooks around 2pm.
Started by throwing topwater at the tiny pond but no bass or pickerel was interested.
As I kept covering water, I stuck mostly with a Yellow Perch HJ-6 by doing the same retrieve that had fish going at Mondo. Also tried throwing a 1/4oz custom made inline spinner.
Couldn't fish the main pond much due to a big bloom in weeds.
Total was 5 yellows, 1 dinky pickerel, 3 bluegills, 2 cookie cutters, 12" crappie, 4 browns, and 2 rainbows. Trout were mostly in the 10" range, with 1 brown being 12". Yellows ranged from tiny 3" fish to decent 9"ers.
Hit the road just after 6pm |
