Caught at least a dozen there this am, stopped counting after a while. Found that right now when the clouds come out, the fish go and hide, but good luck to you anyway.

nice job man! Thats a nice fish! Hanover is full of them that size and bigger! Fish every piece of wood along the shore in the place and you'll have no trouble catching fish! Peco that would be an awesome place to bring a kayak!

yeah its not too small.... you can fish near the launch and all the way up to the other end near the road... they spawn up in back pretty good as well... if you want a great chance at a 4lb plus fish its the place to go Wink

Stfu tralli. Your cousin my ass . I took you there and the last thing it want is a million people there. Its fudging like 40 acres. Its huge everyone go there lets have a tourney tell all your club members.....

Everyone has little spots they like to fish and thats deff mine. Its 2 minutes from my house. Ive NEVER caught a fish over 5lbs there despite DOZENS of trips there. The average size used to be 2-3+lbs but some f'in clown from a loacal club stuffed it full of rat largemouth from beseck and now theres a ton of tiny 10-14inch bass. And I care alot about the place. Its been nursed back from the drawdown/empty 4 years ago. Not to mention the place is a mud/weed pit in another month anyways thanks to someone dumping milfoil in there.... Rolling Eyes

Whatever. Dont leave your trash there please. And dont gut hook fish on senkos/bully spawning fish.

I, as you can see, am fairly new to this site. I have however been fishing for 24 years of my life. Too say a spot is Mine, is BS. Its any fishermens/womens spot if they happen upon it, and like to fish there. Thats the way fishing goes. Ive had my quote "spots" that i like to fish, but there are other guys out there that may like to fish those spots as well. It is what it is. You cant control where people choose to fish, im sure at one time or another we have "taken" a "spot" from someone else.

As for keeping the place clean, i fully agree, have to keep our fisheries cleaner then before we got there. And we should care about all places we fish, not just certain "spots". Its the only way we will have great fishing in our future, and for fishermen after we pass away.

And as for gut hooking, it happens to all of us, no matter what we use for a lure. None of us try to do it, but it does happen.

Im not trying to get anyone mad here, just trying to convey a few points.

Everyone have a good day, and may your fishing be great. Very Happy

Hanover pond? In meriden?! Near the baseball fields?

I've fished there a handful of times this year and have caught nadda! I can't believe. Is there another hanover pond in CT that i'm missing?

I fished from shore, near the "launch" aka near the big towloader. I fished near the fields. I fished the other side near the old dog pound building. Nothing!

Threw jigs, wacky rigs, drop shot, shallow cranks.

Help!
