Tournament Force Bassmasters had their first tourney of the season on Highland Saturday from 7:00 to 2:00.

Water temps - High 50's
Air temp at the start was high 40's
Generally overcast sun broke through around noon
Consistent moderate wind generally out of the E, SE
Low Pressure

The smallies in most cases had just started bedding operations but had not as of yet locked onto beds. With the cold front and low pressure that moved in late Friday night they the bite was way off from what it had been earlier in the week.

Those who located smallies locked on to beds caught fish the rest couldn't buy a bite.

Results

1., Ryan Adams & A.J. Maxwell 3 smallies total weight 6.1 largest 2.12
2. Walt Mayhew (no non boater) 1 fish 2.15
3. Dave Van Allen and Pete Dombi 1 fish for 1.11
4. Mark Konarski and Gary Zees Did not weigh

Hey Walt,

You guys missed it by one day. Sunday MidConn Anglers had our tournament there and 15.56 lbs. of smallmouth won it. And it took me double digits (10.45 lbs.) to get fourth place.

How's the boat running?

talk to you later,

Jay Cap

Jay,

Boat's running great. Yeah given the weather at the end of the day I was wondering what Sunday would bring. Glad you guys had a good tourney. Say hi to everyone for me.

If all goes well next summer you might run into me on the lakes as I hope to be entering teaching this fall after completing the ARC program for Middle School Math.

Walt
