All I think about is fishing! While I love to fish, 2 to 3 times a week is more than enough for me, but the recent pursuit of a legit 6+ lb bass on my scale has created an almost unhealthy obsession. I never work out anymore...but that's ok I got all winter, and I fish for hours a day. I just want to have that legit lunker. I catch plenty of bass, but none recently since the scale to my standards. 4 pounds is my max since and it was a smally...fun, but not what I want. I got a 3 pounder and 2 and a quarter today along with some dinks. That's a good day normally but nowadays I leave a trip like that very upset. Today was extra bad though cause I lost s total of 5 monsters. 1 was right on the shore and just got off in about 2 inches of water with mud under. It was a least 4 pounds and succeeded in getting me soaked...two others were just large blurs in the water I saw as they ripped line off my drag because I foolishly forgot to tighten it up twice! The others just seemed to spit the hook as if to toy with me. I just think that these buzzbaits don't always get the best hooksets since most of the lost fish were on that. I've never had this trouble on the past with buzzbaits, but I guess I'm cursed or something. Perhaps the worst party about all this is that nobody I know understands my need to get this fish...to them fishing is a joke. Anyways I just needed to tell my story cause fishing is getting less and less about relaxing and hopefully this will calm my nerves.

Thats good to know! I didn't think there was much around here.

On your spinnerbaits and buzzbaits, Do you use a trailer hook?

From having such great days at the golf course I fish and a condo complex I used to live at, a day of less than 10 fish with nothing over 3 pounds is a boring day for me. That golf course and condo complex spoiled me with fishing!

Prefecthookset...believe me once the bite does and the mosquitos suck me dry I head over to the chicas house. She doesn't like how much I fish...and Dawg gl with the bass! I just got a solid 3 pounder today, thought it was bigger though, a bit of a let down if I must say so myself.

Finding a female who enjoys fishing or understands the obsession that some of us have would be beneficial.

You're not married so she can JUST DEAL WITH IT!

lol

enjoy your future trips

What JJ said Ryan. Fish your buzzbaits with a trailer hook.

They should have some 2/0 hooks there? Heck I have even used some salt water hooks. As long as the hook eye slides over the main hook.

I got some tubes...I didn't think of that. I also have some hooks that may fit. I'll have to try.
