i predict Jan 4th for most middle sized bodies of water, but what do i know. Night time lows are finally getting into the high 20's but the ice progress is still painfully slow to watch. Its hard to say which bodies of water will be the first to freeze but the northwest corner of any lake is almost always the first to be safe. Im hoping to fish bantam or winchester for pike. I found that these towns temperatures are generally a few degrees colder than those in central ct.
