Have any of you implanted cover at a favorite pond/lake? I would think the winter would be the time to do it. If you have, was it successful?

Rock/concrete piles. Best for fall and spring spots.
Havent tried the tree thing. |

take a bunch of old x mas trees (live) and make a brushpile....will be a good spot year round.....good luck ans be careful....sometimes that could be illegal so i would check  or be discrete about it

plop, what gave me the idea was an episode of dirty jobs where they were constructing salt water reefs. Pretty cool stuff. As soon as they drop the man made reef into the water they instantly become inhabited.
It would be cool to do something in like that in you go to lake/pond to see if it works. You could build you own honey hole

I sunk a christmas tree off my dock at my cottage in NH. It was about 30 feet from the end of the dock in about 12 feet of water. It definitely held fish for a few years but is almost all the way decomposed now (I'm pretty sure I sunk it in the spring of '03). I'll have to try and sink another one this spring . . . .

 Yikes. The guys on CTF swore it was legal last year. Not gonna lie, I did sink a few trees this spring  |
