I think I am going to try a new smallmouth rig this spring, tell me what y'all think.

The upper half of the reservoir that I frequent is prodominently flats running 10' - 15' deep with old stone walls and really old house foundations dotted here and there.

The rig is:
A slip float with enough drop to hit the botom and a 1/4 oz jig head with a grub or small crawdad.

I figure I can bounce it along the bottom and be able to see the soft spring bite well. It should be easy to cast too, and that is a major issue because of the size of the reservoir and not being allowed to take a boat out in it.
