Well maybe not so much in the fishing aspect but JUST HOT! I took my oldest daughter out Thursday morning. We were in the water by 7:30 am and it was hot then; how hot? My glasses were fogging up; By 10 am couldn't stand it anymore! On the bright side we did manage about a dozen SMB all around a pound or so (caught a few that were not much bigger than the bait) still can't figure out why they strike: maybe fear? and my best LMB this year 4lbs 5oz.. finally on a BUZZBAIT. The water is starting to get grungy; anywhere from 76 to 78 degrees. Hopefully it will cool down a might before I have to climb back aboard that big yellow limo at the end of the month when the kids go back to school. Just wondering the DEP fishing guide states that LMB have to be 12" but at INDIAN WELL state park the sign posted says 16"; we don't keep any fish but just wondering why the difference; anyone know? cmorjoe

Sounds like a great day. Definitely worth being out in the heat. Is it a bass management lake now? sometimes they have slot limits where you can't keep em if they are between 12-16 inches.

It is a Bass Managment lake now. Bass have to be 16" to keep or put in your livewell.
