Can anyone suggest a few places to check out? I'm in the canton area..
I'm looking for something along the lines of a Lowe/Lund 1448
mayyybe a 1648 if the price is right
google is not being very helpful

anyone have any new/used dealers they swear by?

there is a place in south windsor that sells new john boats on RT 5. Don't know they name but if you go to the tracker home page and look up dealer locations the have the info on their site. I will look up for you if you can't find it. I have run now though. I will post it tomorrow.

use it to your advantage, if you are paying for cash you should be able to get at least 20% off. Boat sales are going to be hurting this summer.

Don't forget about Cabelas in E. Hartford, I was just there last night, and they a bunch of them stacked up outside.

cabelas is actually 300-500 cheaper than the prices the dealers are giving me.
i dont even need to haggle for 20% off, cabelas is already like 25-30% cheaper

wish cabelas would haggle but that was a pretty futile effort hehe

leaning towards the Lowe 1448MT (mod-v with higher transom)

screw cabelas their sales people are awful they have zero knowledge on just about everything.

Gales ferry marine i have bought boats there in the past .their service is excellent and their prices are good.

well the beauty here is i dont need to ask them anything, i just need their price to be cheaper. i have people quoting me $1700-2100 for the SAME boat theyre asking $1450 for..pretty nuts

try westbrook marine as well. also listed on the tracker site as authorized dealers.

Go on Ebay there are tons of John boats and stuff for cheap also try propertyroom.com sometimes they have boats for cheap.
