Are lucky craft lures really worth the money? Any experience? Just asking because I was at Cabelas last week, I saw some for over $20

not sure why they seem to be creeping up in price, pointer, rc crankbaits, all good but if they get any higher, you might as well go with molix, evergreen international, or jackall

Most of my tackle was from luckycraft, didnt have much luck with them,so I returned a couple of them at Cabelas and bought double the amount for the same money. -=- Buy good colors and learn the technique of each and you'll see that the namebrand is unknown to the fish.

I have really good luck with the X-Rap, I just can't see spending more than $20 for a lure though.... but maybe I'll give it a shot, I'll be pissed if I lose it though. Mad

with hardbaits...don't buy it if you can't stand to lose it....Gotta run your crankbaits into the wood if you want to catch em.....gonna lose a few in the process.

I agree about the Lucky Craft jerkbaits being the only kind I throw for the most part. I like the live pointer bone body, better action by far than any other jerkbait I have ever thrown, they are costly though. I won't throw them in Pike waters, not worth losing at $23 each.

Lucky craft has some sweet colors and the action is what the bait is about. Different lures have different actions...that's why LC makes so many different styles.

You can always lose a great bait to something other than a tree...like a zebra muscle, large bass, crappy line or a toothy critter. If you're worried about the price and losing it, I wouldn't spend the money then. Why buy a bait to never use it because you're scared to lose it?

IMHO, I do like the LC Pointers for suspending JB's, but I do think the Smithwick Suspending Rogue works just as well, if not better (ask Slimecoat he has seen the results). Best of all, they can be had for sometimes less than 3 bucks!

I bought a Lucky Craft live pointer and caught 5 fish on it in 15 minutes. They weren't the biggest fish, but it triggered reaction strikes. I can't wait to throw it at some smallies in Itchy River!! Get one BoSox!!
