i'm ok with that if everybody else is nickp. we would have to talk with everybody else to see what they think too. hopefully we get a couple more entries this week though. we can do something like lunker, first and second or maybe even lunker and just first. it doesn't seem like too many people are interested in the cookout either so we'll have to figure out by the end of the week if people still want to have that too. it's too bad we can't have a better turnout. i was hoping that the first tourney i threw was going to be a decent size one but i guess not. maybe the next tourney will be open to everyone.

part of the reason for it being at mansfield was that it had a huge area to have a cookout afterwards and meet some people since we couldn't get together at the last one. also mansfield and gardner are the only two lakes in the state that give an exemption for bass management rules. that limits my choices by quite a few. i'm game wherever a tourney is held as long as it's not on the river (yet) or candlewood (yet). i'm with senko on this one too that mansfield is a challenging place but i'm always up for a challenge. we are going to be the first tourney of the week this week. if we are the first tourney in a week and we're starting as early as we are i'm not counting anything out at mansfield.

the weird thing to me is that it doesn't seem like too many people are interested in fishing tourneys from the internet this year unless it's at candlewood or the river. i don't see any tourneys going on in the northern half of the state except for bass clubs that have had them for years. it seemed like last year there was a tourney to fish at least every 2-3 weeks all season.

maybe this will entice some people! Thumbs Up

EACH ENTRANT IN THE MANSFIELD HOLLOW TOURNEY WILL RECEIVE A CTFISHTALK LOGO DECAL.

now the field should fill up quick! Laughing

they are clear so they can be put on windows too.

i just saw on the dep schedule that we were approved for the tourney at mansfield on august 18th too. they never sent me an approved form for the august tourney though. they only sent me back the copy of the paperwork for this weeks. i'll have to contact them but it looks like it was definitely approved. i will be putting up a sign-up after this weekends tourney. maybe we can have a better turnout for the next one with so much time in advance. maybe if we can get into some decent fish this week it will entice people for the next one.

Next Level if you want, write something up about the tourney and i will do an email blast to every member. We may be able to get more people to attend that way...
