Thinking about taking the yak into the mianus this weekend. Never been fishing there before. Has anyone been on the Mianus at all?

There is a river called the Mianus. Heard it years ago when a certain section of the over-pass bridge off of I believe I-95 collapsed and several cars and a tractor trailer drove off and plunged to there deaths. Remember reading about it so the name is no joke.

Jim is correct (as much as I hate saying that). I was on I95 that morning when the section fell into the river.

I lived on Long Island at the time and I drove a Tracker-Trailer for a golf car company and I was bringing a load of 30 cars to the Greenwich Country Club.

I stopped for breakfast that morning, which I never do but that morning good thing because when that happened I was near the bridge and can see the cars ahead of me trying to back up off the bridge.

I was also most on that bridge, 10 more minutes and I'd would have sleeping with the fishes.

That was a bad morning.

Oh forgot, as Ron indicated in his reply post, the river is in Greenwich.

Yea thats right that was a very horrific incident. The only reason I'm asking about it is because some clients of mine live in Greenwich and had asked if i've ever fished there before.

Just thought I'd ask.

Not a place for a yak. People in that are like to fish it but there are better rivers to hit in that area.
