So I am looking to do a tournament but I'm kinda doing it with he bare essentials. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction on what the bare bones you need to do a tournament are. I have boat but no motor I have no live wells so would a stringer be allowed? I'm sorry if i'm way off base and sounding very ignorant to tournaments. Any kind of links or advice would be appreciated thanks

LMAO!! Sal you are one funny dude! Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

As for you question Justin. The livewell is the only way to go. A stringer will put to much stress on the fish and they'll most likely end up dead. In tournaments, your are penalized 8 oz. for each dead fish. 1oz. can mean the differenence between winning and second.....As Johnny Skeeter and I remembered way back onthe River......... Crying or Very sad

But when you want to get into tournaemnts, find someone to hook up with that has a boat. Learn the ropes, the rules in print and ones not spoken, and go from there. That's the way I learned! At any rate, with a name like yours, you should win 95% of the tournaments you enter!! Wink

Hope that helps!

Just Justin, get into a bass club as a non boater. Or get into one of the boater non boater partner draw tournaments that Justin T. and I have run in the past on this site. Then keep your eye's and ears open, pay attention and learn the ropes. It's the best way to get started and learn the rules of the road in running tournaments.
