TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE, ITS A HELL HOLE AND THE OWNER IS SUCH AN A**!!!!!
The shop would be located @ 148 westchester rd. (rte. 149) off rte. 2 where the old Midstream bait shop on the Jeremy River was located - RUN!!!!!!!!!!
DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS BAIT SHOP or near it!!!!!!!! Worst place ever and here is my story...... So i see an ad on craigslist posted by FishinDave - Dave, I can even list his email if anyone is interested. I send him a very nice response to craigslist, stating that I would def. support a bait shop in colchester and would be willing to stop by as soon as he opens and purchase some bait..........So a few days later I get an email stating, that he is open. I stop in there for a couple minutes, grab 2 dozen night crawlers and a rapala lure. Told him I'm with my wife but I'll be back tomorrow to pick up some more stuff and look through everything (he had 3-4 empty boxes of dirty/dusty lures) but i wouldn't mind going through them to see what he has. So i stop there the next day and my wife was in the car and I walk in there and had some more boxes and stuff on the shelves..... I grab 4 blackfish finstrike rigs and 5 flounder finstrike rigs and 4 weights , At this time he has lures/hooks, rigs that are 10+ years old, so i am taking my time going through them all, reading them, feeling the hooks and line, so i buy those items, as i'm checking out, he does not know how to work a cash register, so i tell him how to do it (my parents own a store)..... so i leave and I come home and I get a response in my email stating this...........

Pulling up to this bait shop there were people outside looked like they were smoking something illegal.........
Your car almost bottoms out pulling in..........
What bait shop has no nightcrawlers on memorial day weekend...........
He has no lures,hooks, line, swivels, rigs that are made after 2002....
He has mice crap and spider webs everywhere......
and who asks the customers how much things cost......... um yeah
You burn one good customer, you burn them alllll.............
Please don't ever waste your time at a place like this AND WE NEED TO SPREAD THE WORD SO PEOPLE AND PLACES LIKE THIS DON'T GIVE FISHERMEN A BAD NAME

perfectly find, Yeah its a little confusing, when he put it on craigslist he stated hes the owner, when I'm in the bait shop hes the owner, then he emails me to say the Owner saw me stealing, when it was only me and him in the shop..........i think this guy has a couple nuts lose.........

| That is one F'ed up situation. Sorry you had a bad experience. In this day and age of local guys going out of business, this guy sounds like he can't wait for the sheriff to pad lock the doors. |

ya, he actually joined another site I'm on and he thinks its a joke, he emails me EVERYDAY stating "You'll be back, watch" .... this guy is a lunatic and I hope no one waste their time there....

its ashame you had a bad experience...i went there the other day and found the owner to be very friendly and there was new fishing tackle and i purchased a few things as well that i was happy with. If you didnt steal then you shouldn't be so concerned about trashing the guys shop..he was very friendly and helpfull

| Well...possibly there is no agenda. Which is why I asked my question in the other thread. I wanted to see if the guy's only posts on here were commercials for that bait shop. Seems like they do fish and if they decide to contribute to this site with some reports and or other useful info I'm more inclined to believe what they are saying is true. Gotta give them a chance IMO. It remains to be seen. |

I don't know about this one..
The first 2 posts are basically a commercial for the store..
