Hey everyone, I have been in the area for about 2 years now done my fair share of fishing and was just told by a local to check out this site. So far it has been very helpful. I live in the Groton area near SUBASE and need some new fishing spots. I have fished the crap out of the base and landed several nice fish from Stripers to Tautog to Scup. But, I am looking to up my experience here before I am transferred to a new area. I want Stripers, Fluke and whatever else i can catch. My Kayak is set up to fish and i need to know of some more places i can go to either shore fish or put in my kayak. I am orginally from Indiana and have done plenty of freshwater fishing, so I am looking to do more saltwater.

Anyone have any areas with simple directions even, that i can try out? THANKS!!

How much dancing are they doing on the surface? Any extra cash needed to catch them?

C'mon Mike...it's the valley. Couple of 40 o's and a roll of singles and you can land them all day.

CJ...go paddle around the Millstone Plant. Warm water, and now that all the boats have been launched in this area, salt water yak fishing can be a little dicey. CT river north of the 95 bridge has some nice mellow coves too. North and Hamburg arent too far for you to hit up if you rooftop your yak. So you're a Squid at the base? Got orders out or here for a while?
