This morning was beautiful. High 70s around 10am. The water at Shenipsit is receding with the hotter days. Very nice breeze all day. Not much action over all but did land this bad boy. Pumpkin senko texas rigged. The bass weighed in about 3 lbs on my spring scale. It was as long as my Spiderwire fishing bag. So 20+inches

Nice. Any bass is a good bass, just better when they get in the 3+ range! Cool

Nice fish. Now ya got the bug. Wait till that 5lb+ hits. It will happen. Just gotta get the line in the water.

Congrats on your PB!

I remember my 1st 5lb smallie. I just put new braid on the reel and was casting a spook at the launch breaking it in. Then third cast bam! Totally unexpected.

You need to get yourself a digital scale. A 20 inch largemouth bass in Connecticut typically weighs four pounds. I think you got cheated by your spring scale, unless the fish was emaciated. In any case, nice catch.

Whatever the weight is, this was the most fun and exciting catch. I measured my bag at 20~21 inches. Probably around between 14~16 inches in girth.
