Only moving water. I still haven't seen less than 16 inches of total ice thickness, anywhere.

Yup...Farmington River and CT River is all I have seen open. Wethersfield cove is still iced over.

Mattabesset River is liquid.
What's the daily creel limit on strippers? Very Happy

Just out of curiosity...how far south would I need to drive to find open lakes & ponds?

Well Kira,

At this point in time and per the continued cold Wx, I would think you'd have to go south to N.J. or Delaware to find any ponds and lakes that have open water.

Apparently, some oil spilled into Compounce during the Winter. It seeped out of the melting ice and into most of our holes. It looked like we were ice fishing in the Gulf of Mexico:

The Farmington River is very open today Shocked the water level is as high as I've ever seen it.
