Mealworms and marshmellows.. government fish are so dumb.

So there are two 10 lb trout in Wharton Brook? Crazy stat. Almost makes me want to go to that hole in the Earth.

My very first fly fish was a 10lb trout...granted, I cheated by catching it in Washington state. I'd still rather catch bass with my baitcaster.

Thanks. I actually got video of the whole thing...most boring video ever. It's basically just me holding the rod for 3 minutes while the trout tires itself out. Then the poor fish needs another 5 minutes of reviving before it swims away (yawn.) I caught a total of 4 10+ lbers like this one in the same manner. It's not that hard to do in Washington though...no shortage of trout/steelies whatsoever. You can even buy flies at pretty much any gas station.

In wallingford, right? I've heard that the water there is really dirty and not to fish it. I've never fished there but I use to go there all the time when I was younger. I really want to give it a try as I'm in Meriden once a week.
