Hi!

Well decided to try trout fishing again today at 1:00 PM -> Sunny but windy!

1st went up to York Pond in Mass. on rt.183 -> Stayed for 1hour -> Skunked.

2nd went down along Sandybrook in Colebrook, Ct. -> Strean running too high and heavy!

3rd Stopped at Colebrook Res. -> Wind had picked up from the wrong direction and couldn't get a decent cast into it.

Finally went back to West Hill -> Again too much wind -> Had a coffee at the small store and chit-chated with some friends.

Wind finally let up a bit and I got to fish around 5:15 PM -> Caught 1 nice fat 15" Brown, then 2 small Brookies (released), lastly I got a good size Brookie.
Kept the Brown and Brookie and and gave them to another neighbor.

Wx reports indicate that it'll get warmer starting Tuesday evening with much less wind!
Wed., Thur., and Fri don't look too bad.
Next weekend though might be a bust with more showers and T-storms.

It ended up turning out nice for ya. Glad to hear it.

I took the kids out today for opening weekend. We went to a local pond here in Granby (Christiansen's) and had a great time. We ended up catching a small 11" rainbow on a rooster tail.

As we were packing up to go I happened to look down along the shore and saw a stringer of about 8 to 10 nice size trout (brookies, browns and rainbows). It turns out that some a-holes must have stayed too late Sat night and drank too many beers to remember where there fish were. The left a hefty bag full of beer cans and a stringer of dead fish. What a waste!!!!
