Member mikeyinstfd (Mike) and I hit the Pequonnock Wednesday morning into the early afternoon.

Mike stuck with a Berkley Trout Worm most of the time while I played with numerous Rapalas. We covered numerous spots.

Our first few stops were where the trout were more interested in the Rapalas. Last few stops were where Mike's Berkley was grabbing their attention.

Certain Rapalas the trout were paying attention to were glass minnow HJ-6, brook trout FLR-6, and pearl grey shiner FLR-6.

Total between the 2 of us was about 20 trout, with me landing a few more as Mike lost numerous fish. Most were browns while others were a few rainbows and brookies. Both of us landed a 1 pound brown, with mine being 14.5" 1 pound 4 ounces.

Mike, nice fish.
I fished the park in the picture just the other day.
I was surprised the pools had some depth to them.

last year they were much more shallow

I caught a couple of 14"-15" rainbows out of the "P" yesterday also. The browns and brookies were all smaller though.

Great day fishing. Trout well hidden. Once we found em it was an insane bite. Never caught that many fish in twenty minutes.

Both of these came out of the Pequannock in Trumbull on Saturday. CPR.
Brookie on a red and gold spinner, Brown on a mealie.
