Went to Perry's pond in Fairfield today to try shiners on a bobber on the end of the pond where mill river dumps in. There for an hour no luck. Did see a FROG!!! Almost stepped on it. Then the other side of the pond where the ice was i met 3 dudes who let me stick my rod in their holes. I ended up with 1 sunny, 1 pickerel, and 2 of some kind of gold colored baitfish. Also lost something sizeable on a shiner. The 3 dudes i met ice fishing caught a few dozen yellow perch, lots of sunnies, and around 10 big crappie. The ice was all slush and sketchy. But i finally got to ice fish after like 20 yrs. Now i have to go get an auger  |
