That would be perfect. I love Bantam, but Beseck would be cool too. I've never been there. I'm in either way if you guys go.

I have been targeting pike alone for over a year now (except when stripers run) and I had never heard of pike in Beseck except on this site. I do know of some other lakes that have them even though not many people know about it. They do seem to take hold pretty quick in the right conditions. I think they are great for fishing. I know the bass guys don't like them, but they do weed out the abundant smaller fish. Sure, there may not be as many bass in a pike lake, but the size of your catch increases.

Well, I'm a bass guy who likes northern pike and, for that matter, chain pickerel. Very Happy Tiger muskie stocking, anyone?

The problem with pike is when you are fishing for bass in a tournament or for recreation and your throwing a $18 Lucky Craft and a pike comes by and decides he wants to eat...its a little annoying and costly. You cant blame the fish of coarse but it doesnt mean that it doesnt really suck.Between Bantum, the river and mansfield hollow I cant tell you how much Ive lost in baits.

Give me a steel leader and a huge spook...and I love pike.

It came out of Bantam in Oct of last year. It was in 2' of water and hit a big live minnow being towed behind the boat under a bobber. The pike came out of the water when it hit like a Great White hittin a seal! I knew I had one because it sounded like somebody did a cannonball off the back of the boat.

Toptech - understandable about loosing expensive lures. I wish I had that problem at Mansfield Hollow, though. I spent a month and a half fishing 6-8hrs every weekend without even a hit. I can't figure out what and where they are eating at that lake.

It's too freakin' cold out there, Damian! My fingers stopped working from the cold yesterday. If there's a Hell, it's cold, not hot.
