It was a fun day, and good report! I look forward to next weekend and we'll do it all over again! Maybe next time, I'll take you up on that sunscreen offer.... I regret it now.

Yea, next weekend we'll also pluck all those rock bass, crappie and perch outa there so the smallies don't have as many fish preying on their eggs. FISH FRY!!!!

I am jealous,that sounds like a nic eday..never heard of the "itchy" river,perhpas it goes by another "official" name. There are som many names for creeks and streams that flow in the ct it can be baffling at times for sure!!!!
Anyone hassle you guys today??

No, not today. Chester marina we never have a problem because we mostly fish the point. We are actually not sure what "itchy river" official name is, we call it that due to the abundance of poison ivy surrounding the place.

yah I know the place you fish and man there is alot of poison ivy in there,I wont mention the name to protect your spot,Ive never caught a largy in there but I knew they got in there,also never really caught anything big in there but that was a nice smallie.

Esox actually caught a bigger one than that, but our buddy forgot to hit "SAVE" after he took the picture... I guess that's what he gets for taking my spot Wink Wink

The guys you saw in the bass boat caught 8 fish for 22.5 pounds and came in third for the tournament............
