one of the best baits ever. Seriously, I caught a ton of fish on those things. To bad they stop making them.

Bass Addict, I always thought those lures were a gimmick just like Roland Martin's helicopter lure. Just goes to show, you could probably catch bass using a cigarette butt! Very Happy

I caught some really nice fish on those things. They are basically just like tubes that fall away from you. I stopped using them cause they were expensive.

my neighbor swears by the flying lure. he gave me a pack but never entertained the thought of using it.. i dont see why it wouldnt work, it's just a flat tube.

I was fishing Saltonstal about 15 years ago and watched a friend catch a 7lb largemouth using a banjo frog.

dude, I know from experience. I have caught at least 100 bass with that lure. I am going to order some and take pictures of all my catches.

Might not be a bad idea to bring back all those crazy gimmick lures....bass have seen everything else at pressured ponds...I owned both the flying lure and the banjo minnow kits...and yes they both worked....you might be on to sopmething...lol

First time with a purple flying lure I got a 5+ lb largemouth out of Silver Lake. I think that was 92 or 93

They have a "new and improved" banjo minnow out
banjo minnow 006

Someone who has money to throw away should actually buy some of these (still in production) lures/gear and test them. Compare them to each other and to your non-gimmick baits..



The flying lure hm when I opened the thread I thought you posted the wrong pic...
