I'm reporting with a heavy heart i lost my beloved Daiwa ballistic reel and rod.... Beside coming to terms with the loss I now have the task of replacing an irreplaceable rod and contemplating spinning. I love my Largemouth and I my soft plastics.... I need your help finding a new rod...

Thanks,
Alex

Where did you lose it? Any chance to drag it or snorkel?

There is it is in a cove... I'm a certified diver and was thinking about going out on a dive to recover it.

bob aka dark cloud can find anything. I watched him jump over the side to find his glasses in the powerplant canal and to my surprise he found them. Never would have thought.

I was thinking of Bob as well. Throw in a little fishing with a chance to find something.... If I dropped a rod I really liked somewhere recoverable, I'd definitely be back with a mask and flippers. Good luck!

Wow, that's too bad. There've been several drowning the last few weeks. That's why location is important. All kinds of currents and more there. If it's in a cove or lake though, different story.

Its lake lillinonah by a small cove. in about 10 feet of water. the cove is accessable by land. Little York road in southbury. I've been really thinking about breaking out the scuba gear. Did i mention that cove has some nice fish.

that should be a fairly easy recovery then im surprized you did roll over the side and get it right then. I keep a mask set up in my boat for just this reasion.

We have a small aluminum boat and everyone leaned to the left side and i was afraid the boat would get swamped..... Lets see I don't know if i can get out for the next few weeks. But anything is worth a try.

This happened to my father and he wanted to "look" for his rod. I thought he was crazy. I got a 16" piece of iron rod; attached a stringer with all the hooks open and tied a line onto it. First toss I was able to latch on of the stringer loops through the eye of the rod and pull it up.
