Went today. 10"+ of ice. Fished near the beach since some people were in the spots I was going to fish in. Pretty good amount of people out there. Here's my notes:
7:30am Wake Up
8:20am Leave the House
8:35am Arrive at B&T
8:50am Leave B&T
9:05am Arrive at Squantz
9:30am Set up
9:40am False Flag 13ft
10:00am False Flag 10ft
10:15am False Flag 10ft lots of line out
10:00-10:30am Fish on Lowrance
12:30pm WALLEYE! 24FT
12:45pm Snow
3:30pm Pack up and walk back
3:50pm Leaving

All in all tough day. Only fish was the walleye 16" or so. Other people didn't seem to have luck although the big group of guys out by where a stream comes in. They were there when I got there and still there when I left. Lots of fish would come up from bottom, watch my lure or minnow and then leave.

I'd like to go again tomorrow but my father has work so he's dropping me off nearby on a lake. Yeah it was near the beach. All the fish I saw on the lowrance were in 20ft of water. You'll see my holes (unless the snow covers em) to the left of the beach. If I were to try another spot if I was going tomorrow I'd probably try along the fence when you pull in leading up to the beach. Try to get in 20ft of water and 2 things I noticed were important was that the fish wouldn't come up anymore that 24" off bottom and didn't like a lot of movement. Also I'd try to get out a lot earlier, be on the ice setup at like 7:30am. I wish we had one lake in ct where the walleye were as common as they are up in Canada. Size doesn't matter for me, just enough of em to keep me busy.

I will leave Greenwich around 7 or so. I will be right of the beach in the mouth of the cove. I know where there is some structure.

My name is Josh. I drive a black BMW X5. Black and grey coat, black snow pants black boots. Maybe I will try to be there earlier too. I will load up the truck tonight so all I have to do is pop out of bed and hit the road. Stopping at Valley Angler and hopefully wont get roped into an hour conversation, as I tend to do with the owner. I always stock his fish tank for him. Waxies and Shiners. and off I go to the lake. See ya there
