Its been a few years since I fished the Housatonic in Derby below the Ousatonic dam. I drive by here every day in my school bus and have noticed that at low tide there doesn't seem to be much water under the railroad bridge that joins Derby to Shelton. Anyone gone there latley? Because school lets out next week I will start fishing again and was wondering if I can get a boat under this bridge. Although my g3 is 18' its a modified V so I don't draw much water. I have seen alot of boats there latley and also some guys wading. If anyone has any info it would be appreciated..HIDE THE FISH I AM GETTING READY. cmorjoe

I have not been there in a couple of weeks but my buddy tells me that there are a ton of stripers in the river there. I think I'll go after work tomorrow you should have no problem with the boat.

Do what everyone else does when it comes to fishing. Try a few spots and remember the good ones. Use the depth finder to find the safe areas.
