My buddy was talking to a DEP guy and he told them that many dead trout are showing up at the surface because the water temp is 84 degrees in most areas. When the trout come up to hit the insects on the top of the water the are dying from the lack of oxygen and the water temp. This lack of winter is doing a toll on my favorite fish!

John at the Valley Angler told me that people are starting to hit the Walleye and that Smallies are still by structure.

Went on the other side of the causeway in Candy with my friend and we caught a few bass large and Smallies all in the thick weeds.

I stopped by West Hill Pond from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, this evening. The surface water temperature ranged from 78.1 to 78.5 degrees. That's the coolest water I've seen in a while.
