So ive been reading past threads on the tournaments here and Im pretty interested in trying one. I dont have a boat so id like to join as a non boater and just see how I like tournament fishing. Just wondering if it is hard to get a non boater spot and when do the first tournaments begin? I live in Colchester so Moodus, Bashan, Pickerel are all lakes i am more than familiar with and can see myself doing pretty well. Im not opposed to traveling either id really love to get some tournaments under my belt really anywhere with anyone. So any tips on how I can get into my first tourny as a non boater?

Hi maximillion, I have tried tournaments on this sight and it really doesnt workout well, I have tried taking people from this sight and teaming up people with them, it just fails, I had a couple good tournys, If your looking to get into tournys you should try getting into a club as a non boater, alot of clubs out there are looking for non boaters, or find a buddy with a boat and do some opens,,Jim

If you're a member of ctfisherman there are a couple clubs on there looking for members, just recently joined on there myself. Good luck.
