for those local guys, have any of you fished peirpont (spell check) this week or last?

We plan to hit it tomorrow but, I rather not get there to find out its not safe.

Not sure about the safety and thickness in Ridgefield, but member Junkie and I hit a quarry pond in Wilton off of Route 7 twice this month before the blizzard hit. At that time ice at the small pond ranged from 4" to 7" thick.

I don't know how much difference there would be comparing a small pond in Wilton no deeper than 8 feet with 4 to 7 inches of ice to the larger shallow Pierrepont Pond in Ridgefield.

But remember, this was before the blizzard.
