				| I am taking a vacation (staycation) the week of 8/19. I am staying home and want to take day trips for the best fishing in CT. Any suggestions based on this time of year? I am looking for easy access, because I will be new to the spots. Also hoping someone has a pulse on any fish sitings. I do not have a boat. I am also open to go farther, to RI, MA, or NY. | |

				| I'd recommend taking a drive up to the Cape. You'll have a better chance of getting into blues and stripers in the canal and along the beaches up there. | |

				| maine is doing good right now for striped bass. If you want porgies then try any public fishing pier in any state. Google is your friend for fishing access(most states have a website with a huge list/coordinates even.) You can take a night trip on a charter or a party boat if you want to get into some bass/blues. | |
